Oh sure he had help. But scrubbing away all the R slime spit on his administration and I still can't give his 8 more than a "C-". From the get-go with his wild executive order frenzy, to the Hazel O'Leary weakening of our national security, to making deals with Greenspan that in effect raised taxes for no particularly good reason, to file gate, to white water, to the half-dozen sex scandals, to his Dept.'s mishandling of funds, to making ah hell I'll just stop there as this is getting depression. But, yeah, all that was the R's fault. 😛

Some people, while blind, see only what they wish to see, while deaf, hear only what they wish to hear, and while dumb, remain so forever.

What do you mean? He didn't say that?

But he shoulda said it! The poor guy is 0 for a million. He deserves to hit it right at least once.

How about this... here is another chance for him:

"Come the 4th year of the millennium,
In the home of the greatest power,
The village idiot will go away,
Having embarassed more people,
Than any other leader before."
--Nostradamus, 1555

I got it, Hillary is the one ranting about a village all the time. She is the village idiot. It is embarassing how she carpetbagged all of those New Yorkers. How long has she lived in her house there?
Which home will she go back to? New York, Washington, Arkansas?

ez_livn -- << ... Clinton had the most corrupt and morally bankrupt administration in history >>

You are obviously too young to have experienced Richard Nixon. He was a criminal who should have done jail time. If I had to choose one, I would take Clinton over Nixon, anytime.

There have been other corrupt presidential administrations. Warren Harding's comes to mind. That was the era of the Teapot Dome scandal. If the only scandal you know about it Clinton, you need to read a little history before you make broad, sweeping statements like that.

Red,

<< support a bunch of Drunken Cuban refugees in their attempt to keep a child from his father so they can cash in big time >>

As I recall your man McCain fully supported keeping Elian here and publicly stated many times he disagreed with Clinton/Reno on the matter.

Having a good encononmy, btw, doesn't automatically air out the stench made by a bad president. This is especially important to understand today when the media can spin and dance to help an administration immensely.

But who knows? After witnessing 4 years under Bush Lite while being politically "aware" as I am now (but wasn't under Reagan), maybe I'll decry the Rs, too. Ball's in their court right now.

Moonbeam, what is the difference. Nixon lied to coverup the actions of his subordinates. It was wrong and he resigned. Clinton lied to cover up his own wrongdoing, he perjured himself and is still in office.

Gazette, 1974
"Clinton, a law professor at the University of Arkansas, said there was "no question that an admission of making false statements to government officials and interfering with the FBI and the CIA is an impeachable offense."

impeached Presidents

Just out of curiousity, was there ever a time when the president of the united states was looked up to? You know, as a role model. Someone inspirational. A person a young person might aspire to emulate.

Yes Clinton. I aspire to get laid.

Doesn't hurt that he is more intelligent than a casaba melon too.

It is embarassing how she carpetbagged all of those New Yorkers. How long has she lived in her house there?

What? Do you live here? Know what is going on here? Do you know who ran against Hillary? Do you really think we pick our leaders by where they lived and for how long? Is that how you pick your leaders?

Red,

To me it looked as though many House Rs felt they had to go against the polls, follow the law, and prosecute Clinton based on evidence from that bulky Starrr Report. I believe the impeachable offenses include more than lying under oath in a federal grand jury. There were charges of abuse of federal power and conspiracy to prevent an investigation.

btw, Bill's Approval Rating was high due to the economy. Joe and Jane Q. Public were constantly told how great the economy was which of course meant they too were doing great. Yep, it must be thanks to that High Official in D.C.! Two hurrays for Bill Clinton! 😛

But your'e right: Clinton didn't deserve to be removed from office for the few crimes submitted as evidence. The failure of the Rs and that pesky independent counsel to bring forth truly damaging facts and witness makes me believe they really didn't have anything of substance. So much of what we saw was the RPM (repub. propaganda machine) at work.

There's a lot of farting going on Washington. I don't always know who did it but it sure stinks.

The difference, my dear etech, is that nobody should be asking anybody about their sex life. It is those who ask who are truely unethical in my opinion. What were they, curious, or intent on the distruction of reputation? I think you know. To destroy people over private matters is not a job for people of character.

I've got another quote for you:

"In the year two thousand and one
the country bumpkin will have won"

-element

This refers to Bush being sworn in January, 2001

edit:

Let me add that I think the republicans pushing for the removal of Clinton during that fiasco and Ken Starr should have been brought up on charges of trying to bring down the U.S. Gov't. What is that called treason? And also have to pay restitution for spending $40 million of tax payers money in so doing.

etech -- << Nixon lied to coverup the actions of his subordinates. >>

WRONG! Nixon may not have had any part in the actual break in at the DNC, but all you have to is listen to the Watergate tapes to hear Nixon, himself, acting as a conspirator in the coverup. He's the one describing where they could raise hush money. He's the one planning which public officials to fire and which ones to pressure, as well as and who to lie to and who to keep in the dark.

To quote one of his re-election slogans, Nixon's the one!

Take a deep breath and settle down Harvey, no need to yell.

I am not defending Nixon. He lied, he covered up, he resigned.

Sounds just like what Clinton did, except Clinton did not have the cahones to resign.

Moonbeam, People of character do not go around porking young interns, even or especially when they want it.

But this is all in the past. We have a brighter future ahead of us now.

<< Bush = The Village Idiot? >>

This "idiot" has already done everything we could have hoped for, stopped a Liberal Presidency.

Repeat after me..."two Supreme Court Justices"

Heheheh...🙂

Lessee, what is worse?

Getting a blowjob from an ugly woman and showing the world that you are a jerk husband and have lousy taste on woman? Or trading drugs for weapons and showing the world that you are a hypocrite?

Lying to the people because you're too embarrassed by your sexual behavior and lose your job as President? Or lying to the people because you're afraid that you and your burglar friends may lose
your job as President and end up in jail.

Of course, in a victorian backwards pundit society, deviant sexual behavior is the worst crime there is. That, and playing music out loud will lead to the decadence of our society.

But maybe if we cut taxes for the richest 5%, topple down a couple communist governments, bring cheap hard drugs to the undesirable minorities, then we can redeem ourselves and go to the country
heaven on judgment day.

That's it. It always end up being about some frickin religious belief.

<<...believe that porking interns is wrong. Bad assumption on your part.>>

Sorry etech it is not that simple. Sure infidelity and power abuse is wrong for most people, religious or not.

What I think is that, for the country, the other crimes committed by recent Republican Presidents are more damaging than that.

And the reason that people think Clinton's doings are worse, is because of their religious beliefs... or blind partisanship.

WW, fine, if you think that being unfaithful to your wife, porking interns under you, and lying about it to a grand jury are good things to do, then that is fine for you.

My point was, it does not take a religious person to think that those things are wrong.

BTW, if you are ever in a position to be hiring people let me know, I wouldn't want my daughter working for you.

PS. sorry I changed the text so much. I realized what I had said before didn't make much sense.

But if you prefer that your daughter work for a warmonger drug dealer rather than a sexual predator, then if you are religious you're proving my point.

So you admit that Clinton is a sexual predator, and infidelity and power abuse is wrong "for most people"

Good, so do I. I think we are starting to agree.

It does not matter whom you think committed the most egregious acts, only that what Clinton did was wrong.

I have to ask, for whom is infidelity and power abuse not wrong? 😉

I of course would prefer that she not work for either, religion has nothing to do with that discussion. Of course she's only 10 years old, so I have many more years to worry about that and other problems with her.
