Dont know how many did their taxes yet but the bush tax cut us middle class folk were told we got just seems to be missing. All I know, doing my taxes this year the same as last, I get back a lot less. Some $150 less. Deductions are the same and wage is about the same too as last year. My neighbor had almost the same figures as last years taxes. Last year he got back $7 fed and $20 state. This time he pays $130 fed, $90 state.

Sooooooo, are you finding out the same with your taxes too? WHERES THE OUTRAGE?

is it really a tax cut if revenues went up?

It can be.
The tax cut may be stimulating additional purchases thereby generating additional tax revenue.

Do you consider that to be a good thing?

that's what i'm asking, though... if we're on the downward sloping part of the laffer curve, then a tax 'cut' would lead to an increase in tax revenues. so by cutting the marginal rates we've increased taxes in absolute terms. so is it really a cut?

The government can waste money better than the general worker.

The government generates layers of waste that suck up productivity.

If money is injected directly into the economy that woiuld be nice; however, it gets re-routed by layers of buerocracy(sp) at the disribution and recieving end; therefore is less effective.

Forget about that.

Think about what you are saying. You said that it is a good thing that the government gets more revenue as a result of tax cuts. Mull that over for a minute and think about why it is so asinine.

e.

Without tax cuts; then the government will just keep all the money and distribute it however the loudmouths want it.

Increased economic activity is what is needed, not government controlled handouts/waste.

If the tax cuts stimulate economic growth; that will generate additional tax revenu
