i heard that Bush is not against racial profiling. he was quoted as saying there isnt enough cases of Racial Profiling to justify a law being passed to prevent it.

Get informed before you spout of nonsense would ya? He's gone on record to say he's against it, and there isn't any evidence to the contrary..... so what are you basing your statement on? Did you hear from your sister who heard from her cousin's best friend's brother?? Please.

Any thruth to the rumor (I heard it on the radio, hehe) that there were many state police traffic stops yesterday in Florida as folks in some neighborhoods headed to the pools?

Remember, I'm just asking a question.

<< Because HTF do you enforce a law against racial profiling? >>

Actually they're doing research here (in San Diego) and comparing the number of tickets vs. the minority population spread and using statistics from insurance companies on which minorities get offenses, etc. It's very interesting. Thanks to insurance company data, it should be possible to determine where racial profiling is occurring. Enforcing it could be done on an FBI level.

Russ, just add this to your sig; then you won't have to actually type anything for the next 4 years (or 8?) ;) BTW, I think you're probably right that Bush will win.

NFS4,

It's been decades since a re-count has changed the outcome of an election. The last time an outcome was changed, it was literally a 1 vote difference and ended up being a tie. Unfortunately for Bore supporters, election divisions happen to be one of the few parts of government that are actually good at what they do.

I've never met anyone here who hates him. In fact everyone I know that listens to what he has to say likes him.

Russ, <<Unfortunately for Bore supporters, election divisions happen to be one of the few parts of government that are actually good at what they do.>>

I think it must therefore be immediately overhauled. A new committee should be created to oversee a large bureacracy to support a slower less efficient office..... ;) Perhaps if we hire some more folks to stand around and form a strong election worker's union?

Obviously Clinton was for racial profiling as well, since he didn't do anything to stop it. As head of the executive, he could have put an immediate stop to it, but the feds have never stopped using it.

Pennstate,

Keep grasping at straws. Re-counts don't change outcomes. BTW, there have been closer Presidential elections than this one. Doesn't make it any less a part of history - or less exciting - but it's not the closest.

Tagej,

Funny thing is that I was discussing this a while back with Bob Bruce (head of the elections division in our county) and I made a very similar comment to him as yours: I asked him if his department pissed off the rest of government because he made them look bad.:D

I can see that many liberals are pissed. All these threads popping up by Democrats trying to start a verbal arguement cause they are sad that Albert Gore lost.
