Bush says he's the best choice to protect the US...

Let's see... not a single terrorist prosecuted successfully to date, Osama is still running around in Pakistan somewhere, our procurement of black market weapons has almost ground to a halt, between 4000-6000 iillegals cross over our borders every day, Iran and North Korea have or will have nukes shortly, and we're busy fighting proxy wars for Israel while stockpiles of weapons we didn't guard are being used to blow up our enlisted mean and women. Our oldest alliances have either been completely hosed or severely strained, and thanks to the undeniable arrogance and deceit used by the White House thus far, no one trusts or wants to help us, short of receiving some kind of financial or political kick-back. Four different men have quit their DC posts over this administration not taking counter-terrorism seriously enough.

Nov. 3rd, hurry up...

Considering he just said "well it's up in the air whether or not the U.S. is safe from Terrorism", I think not.

Holy crap, best foreign policy summary evar!

The only people bush protects are all of his f'ups and cronies in his administration. There is absolutely no accountability with this prez, which is probably the main reason everything has been a disaster.

but you forget to mention that the Saudi royal family is safe and sound, protected by our soldiers... now that's an achievement, ain't it???

I'm aware of it, it's just that this arrangement with The House of Saud has been in place for quite some time and doesn't really qualify as a recent, damning aspect of this joke of a presidency. Since the oil companies were kicked out of Saudi Arabia, ALL US presidents have had to court the royal favor of the Saudis. Not to say I don't agree with your point though - although it should be noted that not all Saudi royals are extremist sympathizers, some of them hate al Qaeda as much as we do!
It simply boggles the mind how so many Americans dismiss the utter BS Bush brought to the table, and are going to vote for him solely over taxes or due to them swallowing the Rove talking points hook, line, and sinker. This election is like one I've never seen before, I see fellow Americans acting like party identification is more important than the well-being of our country (but I applaud all the true conservatives and Republicans who actually have brains and see Bush for the chimp that he is). Support for Bush seems to be intimately tied to how little they actually know about him. My own mother sent me the most depressingly naive email forward harping on gay marriage, and was fumbling for words when I clued her in on Bush's raping of the environment, his fiscal policy and sense of corporate welfare, and the roots of the PNAC and it's aims. I hope she takes it upon herself to go after more info, but somehow I don't see it happening... 🙁

It the saddest thing I have seen when it comes to Politics.

This Regime makes what Nixon and Clinton did make them eligible for Sainthood compared to Bush.
