Any of you "Bush Stole the Election" people notice that we haven't seen one report of anyone recounting the votes and finding Gore ahead?

Yeah he's far from being the sharpest tool in the shed, that's for sure. I'm so glad to see that becoming president is no longer about your qualifications and intelligence, it's about who you know, how you smile, and how sincere you can look when you're shoveling a big fat pile of BS.

I don't care where you are doing the accounting, a cut is a decrease in money, not a ceasation in growth. This guy is trying to do what reagan did to our economy, by first cutting taxes, then increasing the amount that we spend on programs:(

Dear Mom As I watched the inaugural, I was crushed that Al Gore did not get
in office. Look at that jerk with the cowboy hat !! What a disgrace.
And look how immoral he is.......getting a ticket for drunken driving
24 years ago !!
And....aren't you so excited? Jesse Jackson has a new child !! I sent him
$5. I used to send him $50.......but my electric bill was $2,345 last
month, and I was short of cash.
That is not bad, though...Susan's bill was $3000 because she has a TWO
bedroom apartment.
I am hoping to meet Jesse's girlfriend out here. I think she is living with
his other girlfriend from 1996. (Or maybe it was the 1994 one....I forget.)
I love California.........everything is so "environmentally correct"
here. And all our liberal friends are in power now. I am sure glad we
demonstrated against building all those power plants 8 years ago.......or
else this state would be polluted like Texas and Georgia.
My friends and I are going out tomorrow to demonstrate against that nuclear
power plant they recently re-opened. We shut that down in
1994, and I think some Republicans are re-opening it. Probably just to keep
the businesses going. GEEZ!!
Well......don't call me on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays because those are
the designated days with no electricity. Not on Tuesdays or Thursdays
either.....cause those are the designated days with no water or phones.
Call me on Saturday between 3 and 4 pm.... usually we have power then. I
don't understand why states with lots of power like Texas and Georgia don't
try to help us out.
We won't have to worry much longer about pollution because all the
businesses are shutting down, and there is no jet fuel for the airlines.
And gas is $8.50 a gallon...so no one can afford to drive. I LOVE
California!!
Thank God for the Democrats !!
Love......your daughter.......Jennifer

Moonbeam, please explain to all of us here exactly how Bush stole the election. If Gore had his way we'd still be recounting votes for however long it took until they miraculously showed him ahead. How long would it have taken for him to produce enough votes to win? A lot longer than this country could afford. Gore wins, and he becomes a thief; either way we lose.

This never would've happened had the Republicans nominated McCain. :) McCain would've made short work of Bore.

Hey what were thinking we should have elected Gore - without him we wouldn't have the internet. Heck, we owed it to him and then we let Bush steal the election. Bad US! Baaaad!!

digobick: Bush was elected by the will of 5 Supreme court justices and not by the people. How would Gore be a thief if he was elected? It was about getting all the votes counted, the Republicans tried to slow/stop that at every point. I'm not saying Bush is not legitimate, just that I would have been more satisfied if the Republicans had allowed the recounts, and who knows Bush may have still won.

McCain was da man!

Bush is an anti-worker scumbag who answers to no one but the corporates.

There are a few good Republicans, and McCain is one of them.

Great to see that you're buying into all the Democrat propaganda. While you're at it I think maybe there are some baby seals being clubbed by evil nasty Republicans as we speak. Oh no!! Look out!! There's a Republican stealing some candy from a baby!!!

Anyway.....

It was NOT about getting all the votes counted....what it WAS about was getting all the votes counted, then counted again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, etc...in counties that were heavily Democratic. They also kept changing the rules during the recount when they saw that Gore was not gaining on Bush. During every election there are thousands, nay millions of ballots that go uncounted for different reasons. Maybe they were spoiled, maybe the voter didn't make the mark correctly, punch through the paper, whatever but they do go uncounted and it happens all the time.

By the way...from what I read a few weeks ago the recount that was sponsored by one of the Florida newspapers found that Bush ended up increasing his lead over Gore by another 600+ votes.

Give it up guys/gals...Bush did not steal the election. The only thing that has been stolen recently was some White House furniture, silverware, china, artwork, rugs, and the dignity of the presidency. Of course there were also some pardons that were sold but let's not get into that right now.....

iamwiz,

just great, you don't understand the meaning of half a loaf is better then no loaf. All your vote did was let the greater evil win, and all the things you stood for will be crushed for the next 4 years. Talk about self defeating. By the way, all nader did was create bitter democrats that hate greens.

no, the greater evil lost, al gore is just as corrupt as clinton, if not more. People shoudl realize that he did not make our economy blossom, greenspan did. f you notice, the economy does into droughts every ten years, roughly. This is one of those times.

Clinton did not lead us to glory, he led us to a BJ.
