I need to do more research to figure out what he's trying to do.. but anyone have any ideas???

He didn't resign, so nothing.

In the Military nothing ever stays the same forever. It is quite common to change commanders. When a General reaches the top or the end of their career often retirement is not far behind. Typically when a new commander takes over there is a lot of shakeup of policy and at least some changes in how military commands are run. Even their different command personality affects some changes. I would not expect too many changes too quickly.

It would be nice to have some clearly defined objectives. Nixon use to tell us some of the things he was planning, but not much is ever revealed about what is really going on in Iraq.

Has anyone noticed that GWB is just shifting the same morally bankrupt yes-men and inept people from one job to another---surely if someone in this bunch had some
truly innovative ideas that could really turn Iraq around in their heads---we would have seen some dramatic successes in their prior sectors---and instead we have a rather
unremarkable bunch and the debate is over which is slightly less of a failure than the others.

Its going to take a rather innovative and creative set of people to turn Iraq around----who is so optimistic as to think that this business as usual personnel shift will change anything?
