While I disagree with what Bush said, I think Daschle is blowing this out of proportion. For starters, he quotes Bush as saying "The Democratically controlled Senate is more interested in special interests in Washington and not interested in the security of the American people." When in fact, Bush said "The House responded, but the Senate is more interested in special interests in Washington and not interested in the security of the American people." There was no mention of Democrats there, and I don't believe that it was implied, either. Bush was trying to send a message to the Senate to get off their lazy @sses and hurry up with a resolution (again, I disagree with Bush's remarks).

Bush has been on the campaign trail for this upcoming election, raising an unbelievable 115 million for GOP candidiates on tax payer dollars, covering with some photo op and public announcement at every visit to some fund raiser acrossthe nation.

Bush is abosolutely politisizing this war effort against Saddam and Al Quada because of the dismal mess he has made with domestic issues such as the economy.

He is the most embarrasing President I have seen at times. Sometimes he is on que (and then you wonder who his speech writers are), and others he is a loose cannon, shooting from the hip and exposing his utter ignorance of the important issues facing this country.

What a legacy he will have.

1. The economy was tanking before the last Presidential elections thanks to the bursting of the tech boom.
2. Bush politicizing the war? If that's what you want to call it then feel free to. I prefer to call it trying to do what is right.
3. Most embarrassing President? Did you miss the whole stained blue dress or the "that depends on what your definition of is, is." episode? Carter is a close second to Bill Clinton in the embarrassment department.
4. You mean like Clinton's legacy of pretty much doing nothing while he was in office but taking all the credit for things that were really out of his control? Or do you mean like Clinton's legacy of selling us out to the Chinese? Which is it?

As of lately I really can't stand Pres. Bush. I have to say, every year our government is going down the crapper just a little bit more.

I really don't see that happening. He's too much of a lightning rod to even get uniform support from democratic voters, much less any crossover from GOP voters. It would be a wast of time for him to run. Besides, he seems to kinda relish being the Dem version of Newt with regard to teeing off on the Prez at every opportunity.

It's fscking hard to find an unpatriotic American, especially in the US, and anyone who keeps flailing around with these sorts of comments (in this case Bush) is just full of sheit.

I mean, seriously, I have lived in many a country, and I have *never, never* seen a country with more patriotic people, from the politicians to the person who delivers newspapers or whatever.
