History will also show that Saddam's reign (and subsequently his life) ended as a direct result of the wars. Unjust/false won't be mentioned inside any history book 50 years from now. That will be reserved for fiction novels and rag publications.
You mean like the Bible?
Saddam's reign had no impact on America or Americans. Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq and subsequent execution of Saddam was a direct result of personal vendetta. Of course, a loquacious nitwit like you that thinks the earth is 6000 years old would like to pretend otherwise.
If a bad regime and its excesses on its country's citizens was really at the root of the invasion of Iraq, America would man up and support the freedom movement against the illegal occupation of Tibet by China. Alas, courage, principle, and ethical positioning were given way for moral turpitude by America in this instance.
Further, 50 years from now the economic center of the world will be in Asia as it was till the early part of the 19th century; America's bloated sense of importance in the world will come crashing down like a meteor.
In 1750, all of western Europe and America accounted for less than 2% of the world's economic pie. It is now at around 80% (since the 20th century). That won't be for long though, thanks to the colossal mistake that Bush made in starting this endless 'war' that simply is a bloodletting of America's economy. That, coupled with the scant regard for the common American citizen by the multi-national corporations, will ensure America's place in history.
What's the phrase they use in podunk-ville you're from? "Get 'er done?"
