uh... i NEVER said anything about the past year... in general, what has the $ done...
So, over what time period. You have to be specific if you're making a claim.

with its snap oversteer, you would see a quick demise of the U.S. public.

nope, just relating what i have read from magazines about its snap oversteer, and the fact that 95% of the U.S. population wouldnt know what to do if the car DID snap oversteer, or 50% of the U.S. wouldnt know how to drive a standard.

while i think unions are a waste and doing more harm then good. There is no way the goverment is going to do anything about them.
pitty also. they are running the car industry and airlines out of business.

I work in the auto industry as an engineer(NVH) right next to vehicle dynamics engineers and have never heard of snap oversteer before. care to explain?
It's a term that pseudo-motor heads pull from magazines to sound knowledgeable. No offence MIKEMIKE.Originally posted by: Cattlegod

Look, I usually defend you when people pounce on you but please show me where in this thread you have contributed anything except posting an article. I realize you live in Michigan and your family and friends are probably heavily dependent on the auto industry but that doesn't mean you know what you are talking about.
What do you want the government to do about health care? Chrysler didn't exactly get bailed out either. They received a loan with they paid back in record time. Giving GM or Ford any money in the current state of the world would be a bad investment and amount to nothing more than corporate welfare.
Why don't you address the real issue. Unions and pensions and irrelevant products. I'm sure you and your family would staunchly defend the unions and outdated bloated wages, right? So where are the answers coming from? The governor of Michigan isn't going to accept the reality of the union problem. How should the president level the playing field? Tariffs? That is the stupidest thing EVER.

Many of the problems that plague the car makers are there fault. they got themselves into the mess they need ot get out.
ill admit they got themselves into it, but Chrysler was once in the same jam, and the Gov't bailed them, i guess the Gov't doesnt like to follow its own examples.
Yea...something Jimmy Carter, the worst president in history, signed off on. Let's repeat that idiot's legacy.

Stop posting the same damn thread here as in P&N. What are you looking for Mike? You post a link to an article then then bail on your own thread. You know as well as anyone that the president can't make US automakers profitable, only they can.
i REFUSE to stay in P&N, there are two COMPLETELY seperate viewpoints in those forums and i cant stand it. so i posted it here where i will actually discuss it.
