I don't know if it's so much a "new reason for iraq war" as it is a "new reason to continue the present course". Bush and the GOP see the polls with falling support and are fevorishly trying to get support up with stunts like a "War promotion tour". Seems rather desparate to me.

Look at the timing. When energy prices are at their worst, Bush suddenly says "we have to protect our....er....Iraq's oil from the terrorists". Convenient, to say the least.

Bush, the GOP and the PNAC are losing in the Iraq war support department. I hope that trend continues!!!

Funniest part of Bush's latest garbage excuse is this; there were no terrorists in Iraq to take over the oil fields until Bush's lies brought them there.

The best real reason for staying in Iraq came from a member of the Bushwhacko administration before they launched the war, when Colin Powell warned the Commando In Chief about the "Pottery Barn" rule.

We have to our best to fix it, no matter how many lies Bush tries to float about why we started it, we (as a nation) broke it. We are responsible for the problems, and we owe it to ourseleves, as well as the Iraqi people and the world to do our best to fix it.

Unfortunately, the best first step we could take toward that end cannot happen easily. We need a legal, peaceful way to get rid of the idiots who dropped this in our laps. In other words, fire the entire fscking administration and get some integrity in our own leadership.

I know it's not practical, but it's definitely the right idea.
