Seven years in his office, and he finally figures it out! Was this just another Bushism, or is he trying to save face for his battered party?

...outside forces that tend to divide people up inside their country are unbelievably counterproductive.

Anyone who denies there weren't errors in the invasion is not living in the real world.
OP is stretching the truth here; not really worth a new thread.

I actually see the distinction, discrepency and hypocrisy when Dubs sez foreign troops would only be divisive and ?unbelievably counterproductive? about Darfur:

...A clear lesson I learned in the museum was that outside forces that tend to divide people up inside their country are unbelievably counterproductive....

You are lying to yourself if you do not acknowledge that we have split Iraq into multiple warring factions: 85,000 'Concerned Local Citizens' (Sunnis) - in the West, 95,000 (non-Arab) Kurdish Army (probably larger) - in the North, 110,000 Iraqi Army (Shia) - in the South.

And this doesn't include the Islamic Army in Iraq and Ansar al-Sunna. Not to mention the Badr Organization or Sadr's Mahdi Armys, which easily number in the 10s of thousands.

I agree the topic title is not accurate. But I don't think you guys would have fun with:
