Thanks whisbang, did not get that one, but they sold me another for less money, it could be less quality since I have not seem the one you mentioned, however it gets me happy.

I finally put mine together last night and have to say this was a HOT deal. Desk is made out of the highest quality press board, so it weighs a ton. Parts had label stickers on them to ease assembly and the instructions were easy to follow, especially considering there wasn't a single word of text. My 6 year old could have built this desk (if she had superhuman strenght for a 6 year old). Only took about 1 1/2 hours and I only suffered 2 flesh wounds, a new low for me for desk assembly.

Hard to find a contemporary computer desk like this one anywhere, no less for $36.88. None of that John Boy wood veneer...
 
Ok here's the deal for me. I got 2 of these desks this morning. The sales guy was so shocked at the price that he insisted i buy a couple of those banker's lamps that are 9.99. hehehe. Anyway, I called at 9 am this morning and asked if they had any. This is at the Snellville, GA location on Ronald Reagan PKWY. It turns out they had 4 in stock so if anyone in the Atlanta area is interested in getting a few of these you can snag the last couple they have, that is if the employees don't get at them first. 🙂 Also, when I thought I would be going into work today on the other side of town I called the OD in that area (Fayetteville, GA) and they appear to have 2 in stock as of 9:30 this morning. I happened to check yesterday at the Hwy 78 Stone Mountain/Snellville location and the Tucker/Northlake mall locations and neither of these stores had any.

Siberian Tiger, Thanks for the tip - I wen to sepulveda/manchester store by LAX (CA) this a.m. and got the display model. It was slightly damaged so got it for $20!
 
well theres that curved part for your feet😛 don't keep it empty.. sticking your feet all the way in only makes u hit the shelf on your shins🙂 Not like it matters, you don't want to sit thta close to your monitor.
 
I'll be in San Diego this Saturday...anybody know if the local ODs there have this desk in stock? Thanks in advance...🙂
 
serzone, the part of the desk where the keyboard sits juts out further than the rest of the desk. Therefore, you don't sit that close to the shelf underneath. What do you want for $36...ergonomics?
 
I wouldn't waste my floor space on that desk - it is truly one simple, butt-ugly piece of furniture! Wouldn't take it if they gave it to me....
 
Its a solid office desk, not expensive high end wood furniture.. what are u bitching about. If your rich, why waste your time here.
 
If you're in the east texas area, there are 4 still available at the OD in Marshall, 75670.
 
Anyone know if OD will adjust the price on unopened desks? I bought two at the $36.88 price and would like to see if I could get some $$$ back.

are they still in stock in the bay area ? i called around and the 2 shops i got were out of stock let alone $15
