Just picked up the last boxed one at office depot in Overland Park, KS off Metcalf. They still have one set up as display. MFR suggested retail price for this desk is $249.99. Heh, what a joke....

I put it together last night and put my wife's dual celeron Win2k box on it. I like how the computer placement area is open in front and back to allow for good ventilation. Nice desk, great deal. Thanks again for sharing this with us.

Thanks Whizbang, I picked up one of these today but it took a little work to get one in San Diego. What you have to do is call around to the stores in your area and they will check other stores to see if they have it in stock. Now, when you call that store that have it in stock tell them you just called another store and they said that you have (1, 2, 3, 4 etc) in stock. I think this way after they check the SKU and see the hot price it won't all of a sudden be out of stock .

I went to my local OD today and they had not sold any? The employees did not even know about the deal. I called and verified the price and they had 6 in storage! I doubt they will last long. The sales rep asked how I found out about this deal before them and I said that I always hear about these type of deals at AnandTech. I did not mention the name I just said "at a tech site I visit".

picked up one yesterday for 36.88 at the sepulveda/manchester store by LAX (CA). they had 2 left. also got the sku 442-441 chair for $59 (even tho that was last week's price). added some pens to make it over $100 and then applied the $20 off $100 code.
