Nice picture.

I've no doubt Bush is a compassionate person, at heart. Heck, I did vote for him. He has daughters of his own, too.

But, that act of kindness cannot make up for the failings of his administration.

"I'm a pretty cynical and jaded guy at this point in my life," Faulkner said of the moment with the president. "But this was the real deal. I was really impressed. It was genuine and from the heart."

THAT is why I am voting for Bush in the next election.

And look at him mug for the camera - sick.

Whenever I try to comfort strange girls, I find that shoving their faces into my armpit has a soothing effect.

My beef with him isn't that he lacks compassion, but rather that he lacks the intellect, temperment, and non-religious syllabus needed for his job.
He has two girls of his own, I'm not surprised he felt pangs of sympathy and concern for that poor girl.

But, that act of kindness cannot make up for the failings of his administration.

Exactly.

The man most definitely has a soft side but you won't see it in foreign policy and it it'll be combined with moral objectivism in his domestic policy. Sorry to disappoint ya

I concur that if George Bush found the cure for cancer, solved world hunger, found a way to harness unlimited energy from the sun with a solar panel the size of a postage stamp, found a way to deep fry foods without adding any fat or calories, and found a way to convert salt water in gasoline with a 9 volt battery, you idiots would STILL not vote for him.

I'm just glad that he's not shoving other things [cigars] in other places [crotches] to achieve this "soothing effect."

If he could do all that I'd be for coronating him King. Right now I'd just be happy if he doesn't make things worse than he already has.

Right, because George Bush can reverse in 3.5 years thousands of years of human history and relations. Bush can make the Islamic religion which has been at war with itself or the world as we know it since it was created suddenly love everyone.

He is taking the approach that 2000 years of trying to reason with these poeple hasn't worked. Its time to start doing something they do understand.

Its better than sitting over here and having them blow us up a few at a time with car bombs, plane bombs, suitcase nukes, whatever else they get their hands on. Since they are so 'peace' loving. Since they are so interested in peace there is barely a period in their history in which they weren't trying to exterminate themselves or another religion..

Ahh we come to the real problem. You are racist. "They" are going to do this. "They" are going to do that. "They" are evil. Damn nigg.. er Arabs.

You don't understand them. That makes them a threat. When there are 300 million of "them" and you are still standing? "They" have lot's of oil money. "They" can buy ex USSR nukes. "They" could have done all this already.

You see all this in yourself, and put it on others. That you fear so much does not make it right to advocate killing a whole people. Genocide.

Lest you forget, "we" exterminated a significant portion of the native population here, yet we didn't go on a war spree in Europe.

Yes "they" have their own serious problems. "They" have some bad people.

Some of "them" advocate killing all of us because of who we are. Some of "us" are quite comfortable doing the exact same thing.

There is no difference between you and them.

Like what? Humilation? Torture? Since when has that made people want to co-operate with each other? And what do you think that Bush and his administration has done that has worked?

In my mind, Bush has not focused on the issues that really need to be looked at, and in fact, have made a volatile situation even worse.
