How can you consider this a success? It is only a success for the CC industry. Shell out thousands in credit and make it harder for the average american to file for bankruptcy. Who does that benefit?

Starting with the assumption that they both lied, Clinton lied about his failure to return his fly to its full upright position. Bush lied with every changing reason he gave for committing the nation to a war costing thousands of U.S. military deaths, tens of thousands of wounded and multilples of that in other deaths and wounded, along with trillions of dollars debt your great grandchildren will be paying.

Bush is no worse than Clinton? You simply have NOT been paying attention!

SCOTUS judges: 1 died and 1 retired - so he appoints replacements - 1 with good support and the other controversial. What did the Pres do to call this a success? It's not as if he forced 2 judges on the SC.

Bankruptcy reform: Great news for the financial industry, bad news for the people as majority personal bankruptcies were people burdened with medical bills. Great - we don't offer any lifesaving health care to the needy and then we take away their avenue for financial recovery after their health care crisis is over. Brilliant success. Now, if the bankruptcy bill had made an exception for medical bills I would have applauded it.

Do not call list: Many states had this already before the feds came up with this. In any case it's a small issue in the larger scheme of government.

Good plan for SS: Are you serious? The vast majority of people including politicians were against the backhanded windfall for wall street and it died a well deserved death. And you count this as success?

Pull your head out of where it's at and see reality.

Sorry, I am a little more free minded. I don't adhere to one party, but I have a definite liberal slant. If a politician screws up, man, woman, repub, dem, indy, I don't care. Just hold yourself accountable and deal with your penalty.
