bankruptcy filings
3 Filings Continue Record Pace!
In 2002, bankruptcy filings broke new records...again! According to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, more bankruptcy petitions were filed in the 12 month period ending September 30, 2002 than at any time in history. Bankruptcy filings totaled 1,547,669, up 7.7% from the previous record of 1.437 million filed in 2001. Petitions rose across the board with the exception of chapter 12. In fiscal year 2002, filings under chapter 7 (complete dismissal) rose 6.9%; chapter 11 (small business debtor) 10.9%; and chapter 13 (wage earners plan), 9.5%. The only chapter that saw a decrease was chapter 12 (farming entities) with 322 filings, down 15%.

If one of the major parties nominated a bag of lettuce to be the next president, I bet it would get at least 25% of the votes.

That shows the intelligence of the average voter. Polls mean nothing.

Interesting poll from ABC . . . I wonder what the 26% of Liberals supporting Bush are smoking . . . that stuff is good!

more liberal lies....

haha, ok swift. Unless I'm not picking up on your satire (doubtful) you're contruing what was intended to be a joke as the WORD OF GOD. Besides, Jesus loves me more than you.

Ah Swifty - he was saying that because of the history of comments like that. I didn't see a mass exodus to Canada after 2000, but boy I sure heard alot of "I'm moving to Canada" spew:p

Will someone remember to pick up the Baldwins(all of them please:D) during your move to Cananda in '05. :D

CAD, allow me te break it down for you. I'm not going anywhere during the next ellection but where the USAF tells me to go. I have no intention of abandoning this country to beloved patriot-tonk zealots such as yourself; there's always hope. Besides, if all the reasonably intelligent people of our fine country made a mass exedous to Canada, that would leave the dittoheads in control of the worlds largest nuclear arsenal... but I digress, it couldn't be any worse having a man charged by God ot entice the destruction of the infedels through the second coming of Christ :p

What part of my post didn't you understand? Back in 2000 a bunch of liberals started talking about leaving the country and going to Canada if Bush became President. Well, they are still here - hence heartsurgeon's "more liberal lies" comment in response to a renewed pledge of moving to Canada.

Please learn to follow along:)

This is quickly becoming a showcase for the irrational right. CAD, what I said WAS a joke based on people claiming that they were going to move to Canada in 2000. "Heartsurgeon" took it seriously when he obviously shouldn't (espiecially after several posts of uneeded clarifacation.) Notice he's not here anymore defending his knee jerk reaction and yet here you are defending HIS irrational compsulsion. Feel free to respond but I think you're the one being left behind here.

Seems you are the one trying to mix issues here. Your comments had nothing to do with what heartsurgeon posted in response to. He was responding to the Canada thing - you are trying to make it a "God" thing. Notice the part heartsurgeon quoted from paintrain - I think it is you who missed this boat;)

Have fun though.
