The Bush Files : Spin

How to Beat the Press (3 Pages)
Before a January, 2002, appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Treasury Department public relations chief Michele Davis sent Secretary O'Neill a 3-page memo explaining how he should deal with host Tim Russert. The memo, which coaches O'Neill on how to avoid the substance of Russert's questions, is a classic of political spin. O'Neill was told to answer the first question by praising the President's economic stimulus proposals, "no matter the question." "You need to interject the President's message," Davis coached O'Neill, "even if the question has nothing to do with that."

ya politicians have been doing that for decades. we need interviewers that will stand up to them and say "look, if you aren't going to answer the questions then this intevew was over before it started."

Well we've got the 'All Hang Toghther' or 'We'll All Hang Seprately' thing going from the Administration.
In a word - LOYALTY - to Bush and Bush alone, screw the people and the Country, Bush is God !

In an interview where the host does that, what is he going to do with the other 59 minutes of Dead Air ?
I can't see any of them putting anyone in that compromising of a position, maybe O'Riely, but he usually
has another shill on stand-by because he knowns who he can make walk, and counts on them to do so.
