Burnt power connector

Guys what you see there is burnt power connector both on the motherboard and the power supply (Antec TruPower 430W). I'm not sure what cause this. Any idea? Also, is it possible to RMA the PSU and mobo back to the manufacture? Any input is greatly appreciate.

Hey, it's funny that I ran into your post. I was just going around looking for a motherboard replacement because the same exact thing happened to my current Epox-8k7A mobo. Check your molex connector.. only the red wires were the ones that melted on mine. They are the 5V line. I can still boot my system and it reports 5V line actually running at 4.53~! I'm dying to know what causes that, I know it's not the PSU.

As Mr. Mackie would say "That's bad.....don't do that, it's bad" I personally would not trust my data to a powersupply and mobo in that condition.

RMA is likely for a situation like that if you're under warranty.

You know you may be right about the PSU. I had a 400 antec PSU and it was kinda yellow looking connector. Then I swap the 400 with 430 true power, and the only red connector are burnt. Is it about the motherboard?

What motherboard do you have? and where you overclocked? I have watercooling and been o/ced 1.33@1.6 tbird, 150x10 for the past 2 years. I want to determine what caused this.... o/cing or plain defective board...

humm... so maybe it is a particular problem found in Epox boards.. cause like I meantioned before, I have the Epox 8k7A. That makes me somewhat reluctant to buy the Epox nForce2 board now.
