Long story..... Happened yesterday at work.....

Anyway, now i have a quarter sized burn mark on my right hand.... Anyway to ease the pain and curb the swelling?

UPDATE: Well the burn mark healed and the skin pealed off... But now i have these small red bumps all around the area (on the back on my hand), and they itch... I've noticed they have been spreading day by day.... Almost looks like tiny poison ivy or something....

Any ideas?

Take some ibuprofen for the pain, and apply some lotion. That should help. If the skin is broken, sover with a bandage and a topical antibacterial ointment.

I once burnt my self very bad on my stomach...I had come in from a day by the pool and got bit by a bug. Lets just say the itchiness was subsided by the cool compressed air feeling. I held the can at an angle and it froze my skin. It stung really bad, a few hours later the skin rose, then a day or so later an clump of skin in the area of about an inch peeled off revealing flesh. I had to tape guaze to that spot for a couple of months so it could heal. My advice: be careful with compressed air!

I find it amazing how much a small burn can hurt, I would ask the pharmacist what he would suggest.
Don't use butter, bad bad!

Long story? Well, you already gave us cliffsnotes, so I can't complain about that. But for those of us with nothing better to do at the moment(prob quite a few), we'd like to know how that happened..

My friend, got sprayed by his friend VERY bad once. His whole forearm was burned and all the skin peeled off and such. It was disgusting. He was a weird kid and so he'd always show it off and stuff just to freak people out. It took like the whole school year to heal and it still looks gross where it healed 'cause it's all scarred up. Do those cans have warning things on them?? Why does it happen when you flip the can?

I was fixing another associates home computer at work and it had been quite a while since he last opened the case... We cracked the sucker open only to find boatloads of dust...

So as im inside there trying to get a damn molex connector out of the cdrw, another associate was holding the endust can upsidedown to spray it inside to get the the dust out... Needless to say, he didnt realize where he was aiming since i was blocking, and i didnt feel the cold until the damn deed had already been done... Prolly was a full blast on the back of my hand for 6-7 seconds...

I had the same thing happen to me when I was trying to put a full CO2 tank (20oz) onto my paintball gun. My hand was over the threaded area to guide it in and just as it started to seat the O-ring went out and my hand got frozen by high ass pressure CO2 ...ugh. I was worried about frostbite but within a week all signs of marks that were there at first had disappeared.

Hold a match to it. The heat damage from that will negate the cold damage from the compressed air and your skin will heal up fast.
