Fry's Electronics. it's an electronics store(!). they have 12 store in california, and 6 stores outside california.

Is it just me, or are all Fry's stores ALWAYS crowded? It's like they pay people to stand in line and pay with checks to make it look like they're more popular than they really are, or something. I've never been to a Fry's that wasn't crowded. And those of you who have been to Fry's at all know what I'm talking about when you get to the front of the line... I've actually seen a salesperson look at a check like "what is that thing, and do you really think you'll get out of here without paying?" Even cash sometimes causes problems. I've worked retail, I know it's really not that hard...right???

yes, fry's located in west coast, I'm in Sacramento and we have one. There are tons in CA

Dude.. as much as people complain about Fry's.. there isn't anything close to it in the east. All we have a stupid Radio Shacks, The Wiz, PC Richards, and a Best Buy here and there.. Fry's is the like the COSTCO of electronics.. not joking. It's a technogeeks (me) mecca.. I pray to the west everyday. *sigh*

I bought some MidiLand speakers to replace my Altec 45-1. They sound very very good for 23 bucks. The subwoofer is slightly weaker than my old speakers, but the satellites are better. For surround sound, it's an awesome deal.
