A little help here please...

Start the game, and then do what?

How do I choose events?
Race
Time attack
Wreck

It's supposed to have multiple modes, but I cannot figure out how to choose what I want to do.....

BTW, I downloaded an "ALL ACCESS CHEAT" so all cars are unlocked...
 
Pretty much every intersection is an event. Stop at a light at an intersection and it will tell you what event you can start there ...
 
go out and actually buy the game so you can read the manual?

i downloaded the demo and the game told me what i needed to do...you're either a pirate or illiterate or both.

Thanks for the help assmuch....Can I also ask you for help configuring my favority MS sidewinder, 5 year old PC game controller?
It only has 6 configurable buttons and I cannot make it work like the supported Xbox controller.....
 
Don't mind pontiflex he has no life .. so he takes it out on people he doesn't know.

Sorry...Forgot to say thanks for you help.....just tried it and was able to enter a couple of challenges.....Fun game, just wish there was a way to turn DAMAGE OFF...kind of like in the NFS series where the RESET button allows you to go on driving...The "UP" arrow allows the wrecked message to go away faster....but it is still very annoying to have to hold the key every couple of seconds in my case....

Will try it some more!

op comes in asking how to play a game when all he needs to do is read the manual or just fucking play the game. it has a built in tutorial...

I meant my own car...I hate going through the "wrecked" video everytime I crash, which is very often!

 
When I got this game for the 360 and before all the major updates it drove me (no pun) nuts as to how to play it. I never read the manual (and still havent) and shelved the game for months. I then bought a HDTV and THEN I could see the map on the lower right corner and said aha, thats where I need to go. 🙂 anyway, its a great game and with all the free stuff Criterion gave away I am gonna get it for the PC as I am really digging this game after shelving it and rediscovering it again a few months ago. The menu system could use a bit of an improvment IMO, really needs a GPS but once I got used to it its all second nature now.

Not sure, I got it and haven't touched the manual and just figured it out within a couple minutes. The Radio Announcer tells you alot, and it even tells you which buttons to push at an intersection to start the events. The compass at the top shows your objective, and the map at the bottom has markers as well.
I don't think I'll ever need the manual.
 
what the hell is the point of the "bounce around smashing cars" mode? I forget what it's called, showtime I think..

And yea, I figured out how to start races pretty easy without the manual.. OP isn't too bright.

I will try re-installing the game....I hear no radio or any other voices / guide!

I dont really play racing games but omg this was horrible. Then I realized that to a 14 year old boy from Kentucky this game would rock so i just never played it again.
