The best one is where the kid throws a turbo on the piece of junk Mitsubishi Colt. Doesn't beef up anything, just turns up the boost to like 38psi. Then he and his buddy take it for a test drive on the highway and when he down shifts to nail third, it makes a noise like a blender full of ball bearings and the transmission just blows apart. You see the clutch plate go rolling across the lanes and into the median.

I actually think that was kind of cool... It was obvious they didn't give a crap about the car lol. I guess they fried a turbo but... yeah.

I can see that view. But with that much power being applied to the drive train the only thing TC has is the brakes.

Traction control systems, in addition to braking via ABS, have full control over auto trans gear selection, ignition timing, fuel injection, and throttle opening (if applicable such as TC equipped throttle bodies or fly by wire throttle). There can't be too much power when they control the power in the first place.

lololol, I love that video also. I <3 turbo'd Eagle Talons/Eclipses. My friend and his brother have owned 4 in the last 2 years. They keep reselling them and going back.

Oh jesus. They can run decent once in a while, but never for very long. I've seen sooooooooo many failed Eclipses it's not even funny. Glass trannies, sub-par CV axles, grenaded heads, and the infamous crankwalk. IMHO the very existence of now-affordable used WRX's mean nobody should go through the hell of Eclipse/Talon crap.
