Burning Video DVDs With Nero

Okay, using Nero Ultra Edition v6.3.1.20, trying to burn video DVDs from vob/ifo/bup files already in a video_ts folder. All I'm doing is putting all the files in the video_ts folder in Nero (tried using both Burning ROM and Express) like normal, but it's not working. Now I've made plenty of DVDs before that have played fine, but it seems like since the reformat earlier today it's not working out anymore. 🙁

Any ideas? I've gotta get these off my hard drive to get my space back. We're talking like 70 gigs here.

Ive never had a problem when converting video_ts/audio_ts to img's with IMGTool Classic, then burning with DVDDecrypter... The burn tends to be alot cleaner then using Nero.

Okay, I'll check out both of those. Actually, I've used DVDDecryptor to rip DVDs, but never burn them from the HDD. Thanks for the help guys!

DVD Shrink didn't work. 🙁

Hopefully DVDDecryptor will. I don't get it... the DVD+Rs are giving me the same error DVD-Rs... should I change my book management?

What exactly did it say? Did you get an error or did it just not burn after the encode? Make sure you go to: Edit>Preferences>File I/O>tick the "Enable burning with Nero" box. Also be sure to set Primary target as your DVD burner drive and create a new folder somewhere on the HDD as the backup target.

It was nothing on the computer end, but when I went to put it into my DVD players I got the same error on each one (incorrect disc).

Just tried IMGTool Classic/DVD Decrypter, same thing. Except this time (maybe it was the other times too and I didn't notice) on the one DVD player before it said 'Incorrect disc' it recognized it as DVD. On the other DVD player it said 'This kind of disc cannot be played. Please insert a different disc.'

Any ideas?

Sorry I misunderstood your question earlier, I thought you were having problems with actually burning the disc.

I have limited knowledge when it comes to the book types. The only other thing I could tell you to look at is the region settings, which is probably far from the problem. If I get a chance to talk to my dad I'll ask him about it. He does video editing on the side and I think I've heard him mention problems similar to yours.

Thanks a lot. I do video editing too, but I haven't learned Pinnacle Liquid well enough to author DVDs yet because the computer I had it on went down and this computer is too crappy to run it, and Studio 9 doesn't do vob files as far as I know.

I think I'm gonna try changing my book types and see if that does anything.

My dad wasn't too much of a help, he suggested changing the book type. I think he was either in a hurry and/or misunderstood my question in the e-mail.

Have you tried playing them in someone else's DVD player and see what they do?

-Jason

I've tried in three diff DVD players, none of them worked. I don't think ownership matters, although it might as I have really bad luck. I'm gonna try changing the book type on it. Thanks for your help man, I really appreciate it.
