I'm looking at finally making the jump to LCD, and also going widescreen at the same time. While I realize the NEC 20WMGX2 is the way to go, I'm just too poor.

I'm looking at the Sceptre X20XG 20", the Sceptre X22XG 22", and the Acer AL2223Wd 22". I've discovered that the Sceptre X22XG supports one to one pixel mapping and HDCP, and that the Acer AL2223Wd supports HDCP, but can't find anywhere if the Acer AL2223Wd supports the one to one pixel mapping, or if the smaller Sceptre X20XG 20" supports either one.

Doesn't look like I'll have enough coin for the 22" Sceptre either so this could be important. I don't want to curse my ATI card and the monitor I purchase for stretched images for the however many years to come. Please post your thoughts.

I have also noticed there are a few other 22" TN's available for under $300, but information on HDCP and pixel mapping seems scarce on them as well.

That's one of the other 22" TN's that I mentioned. That and the Chi Mei come to mind. Any idea if the Dell will do one to one pixel mapping (the most important feature to me) or HDCP?

I'm pretty sure it will do both.

I have a Dell 2405FPW and it does the 1:1 thing.

Confirm it with a review tho. Either that or you could probably call Dell to find out for sure.

I'm talking to a Dell rep on Dell chat and he says the E228 can't do 1 to 1 pixel mapping :( In fact he checked and the E207 can't do it either.

Looks like this thread confirms it Thread
