Computer Geeks are selling a "Metal Gear Box" IDE to usb 2.0 external bay for only 37.50. I went to Fry's and other places to compare prices also on bizrate and pricewatch, this is an amazing deal. A comparable item was selling at fry's for 129.99

Also I would recommend using Yahoo to find "Compgeeks Promotion Codes" This will lead you to a 10% of any item code (excluding geek specials) and this brings the price down to 33.75 add sales tax since California Sucks +2.62 and shipping +6.00 for your grand total of (((($42.37)))) on the truck. I already bought mine, cause I jumped on the circuit city Deal and have no available bays for the drive. This is an excellent solution for people who have lotts of movies or music or games or whatever and want them on the go.

Not hot. Newegg has similar usb external enclosures starting at $31 shipped. I bought one from them awhile ago for around $35-$36 shipped.

You can also find them all over ebay. Personally, I prefer getting a 2.5 inch drive enclosure so that you don't need to use an external power supply. They're a lot more compact, too. Granted, most people don't have a spare 2.5 inch HD lying around, but not too many people have a 3.5 in HD lying around either.

I would also recommend going with the 2.5" enclosure. You can get good deals on Toshiba 2.5" laptop hard drives through Dell. I got a 40GB for less than $80 a few months ago. Not having to use an external power supply really makes a big difference if you are going to be using this on more than one machine.

Check this thread there is a wide variety of quality in these.
Also - what if one wants to put a DVD writer, CD writer in a removable - Got to be full size.

NOT HOT -

While I do agree that many of the others floating around out there that some others here referred to are not Aluminum - which does make a difference in cooling, you can find a USB2 Aluminum Argosy enclosure at Dealsonic for $30

Link for the lazy

They also sell this same enclosure in the firewire/usb2 combo for $45 which is an ok price but not great. the $30 USB2 is ALL ALUMINUM is MUCH HOTTER

But as noted, its a 3.5" so will only work for HD - You need to bigger size for DVD/CD Burners

It's freaking amazing, that's for sure. I added the 'warm strings' sound for the backgrounds in one of my origional songs and it does it justice. What good sources besides www.motifator.com do you know for this keyboard? I 'd like to program the soudns in Song mode to sound more like the master and voice mode settings, ya know?
