Hi,
I am setting out to push, my old thorough bread xp 2400 as far as possible. I have a asus a7n-266 mb, I am gonna be running it on with 2x256 HyperX 2-2-2-5, w/antec sli cert 550 watt ps, custom case w/exellent air flow, and a scythe fcs-50. I am gonna try it first on air, then i'm gonna try and mod a old refridgerator cooling system into a heatsink type setup and see where that takes me. I might change mobo's, but i really do like how sturdy this one is. Any suggestions, and or idea's of how far i should reasonably take this? Thanks so much!

Hmm...aren't AXP 2400+ locked in terms of multi? Or was there some type of pencil lead mod that will bridge two pins and make it work?

The AXP can handle 1.85v with good air cooling, see how far you can push it. Some peeps even ran theirs at 2v or higher using watercooling.

Word, mine are unlocked, and I have 3 of the exact same processors to burn up. I am gonna do the first one on air, as far as i can push it, then the 2nd on my refridgerator modification, and the last on dry ice.

good luck, my A7N-266c topped out at 183fsb so you SHOULD be able to push the chip to 2.75gig with the stock Multi.
