Burning ISO problem

Using Nero, I did BURN IMAGE then pointed to the ISO file. My CDR is 700MB/80MIN, but it says there's not enough space to burn onto this disc. This ISO file is 719MB in size. There have been many BIN files I've burned in the past that were even 800MB in size.

How can I get this to burn? Try another program? Is it because it's ISO (vs. BIN) that the file size is actually a problem?

You got it. BINs generally are less compressed so whats in them is what you get. Iso's on the other hand "fit" more in. Can you use winISO to open the ISO up and remove some files?

Well what are some proggies to burn ISOs with other than Nero? Or is that not going to solve anything anyway ? For some reason, people recommend burning BINs with CDRWIN when Nero would work too... is this the case with ISO files ?

I'm getting an error trying to delete even a single file from WINIMAGE: YOU CANNOT DELETE A NON-EMPTY SUBDIRECTORY. I mean, it's a file, not even directory in the first place. Something's screwy. Grabbing WINISO as we speak.

Along time ago people used cdrwin for bin files but I don't think there is a point any longer. Nero does everything it can and much more. As for ISO files it doesn't matter what app you use it'll still come out the same. Have you tried turning on Overburning in Nero? Or maybe tried a different brand of disks? Its a longshot but it might work.

With WinISO extract the whole thing to the HD then delete what ya can. Then I wouldn't even bother making it back to an ISO unless its a bootable cd. Just burn it with nero.
