I just bought a compaq ipaq 3765 for 392 (tax included) - 50 dollar rebate and it came with a free sandisk 64 mb cf card.

the price is 449 at staples, pricematched with target for 399, applied a 30 dollar off coupon. so 369 + tax - 50 dollar rebate = ipaq + 64 mb sandisk cf flash card. not bad.

I did a similar deal(solo's thread) for an Ipaq 3765. I got my receipts messed up, and I shredded my receipt for it by accident. Could someone email me a copy of a receipt reciept so I can do the rebate? Thanks.

Great post, but needs a small clarification. The latest model iPaq's are the 3835 (or 3850--same model, OEM channels) and the 3870 (not sure what the OEM "match" is for this one). The 3765 is the high-end of the 3700 series. Not a huge difference between the two for day-to-day use, but there have been some issues addressed in the 3800 series--for example, simultaneous, multiple button presses didn't work in the 3600/3700 series--this has been fixed in the 3800 series. This 3800's also have 16-bit color display (65,536 colors)--I believe the 3765's is 4,096 colors (same as my 3635, and it's perfectly fine, btw. Crisp and bright.)

However, you're not going to touch a 3800 series iPaq for much less than $500 until the new X-Scale models start to be introduced. If you need a 64mb iPaq now, and gaming isn't a huge consideration, then this is a great buy on the 3765. With X-Scale units already announced from other manufacturers, though, I would anticipate even further price drops on this model (and the 3800 series) in the not-too-distant future.

I know this deal's getting a little long in the tooth, but it's still valid. My question is this. I'm a newbie to the PM process with Staples, so I have a few questions.

First, how do you PM before the coupon is factored in? I assume the purchase is being made online as I cannot find any printable $40 off $200 coupons anywhere. I would think that Staples would automatically PM to the price after the coupon is added in (ie.-PM to the $459.99 price rather than the full $499.99 price).

Second, are you sure that Staples will PM to Infinity Micro?

Third, any help closing this deal would be appreciated. Like I said, I'm new to the PM process. I'm ready to charge ahead on this deal, however, I don't want to get stuck and end up paying more than I should due to a "lack of experience".
