Burning cd's -- format for car audio?

I was wondering what music format is needed for car stereos when I burn cd's. I have mp3's that i want on a cd-- do i need to convert to .wav or another format?

Most burning software will automatically burn the WAV files as redbook audio (the CDA format which CD players use), and some recent burning software, such as Easy CD Creator 4, 5, and Nero 5 will automatically decode the MP3s into WAV files and then use those to burn CDA 🙂
