Can i burn an Audio CD from a network drive?
It's a wired home network running through a netgear router.
is there a max burn speed i can hit before i start making coasters?

is it better just to copy the files to a temp folder before burning? that's what i'm doing now, but it's kind of a PITA.

Your burner will only burn as fast as it can. So, if you set it to burn at 48x, but it can only access the files at 12x, then it will burn at 12x.

And try it. Worst case, you'll waste 50 cents on a few coasters.

It should work. I always set my burns to 48x, but it never actually gets that fast. So Im assuming it will slow down to whatever it can handle.

Burning from a Network Drive can be a very unpleasent experience..at least before the days of Burn Proof Technology. But since the advent of these new technologies your most frequent problem with the process will most likely just be a loss of recording speed.
