Burning a DVD

I keep trying to burn DVD's. I just bought a new benq 1625 burner, it came with nero software. It goes the whole way through burning a movie to dvd and then and the very end it says unable to create dvd structure....burn failed. I tried just playing this in my dvd player and it doesn't work...any ideas?

The only change I've made to the system in my sig is new motherboard(NF2 Infinity)

Please help me guys!
Thanks in advance
Graeme

So you have the DVD files (ifo, vob, etc) and you try and create a dvd video disc with NERO? Does it seem to be taking a long time? Is the burner using DMA or PIO mode?
Have you tried burning a data disc with NERO?
You could try creating an ISO with IMGTool and then burn with DVDDecrypter.

yes ive tried both with .vob files and .avi files. When i did the .avi ones it took them from like 700 megs and made them 4.3 gigs. It takes about 2 hours to do then right at the end it screws up. How do i find out which mode its using? and no i havn't tried burning a data disk, do you think it would help? Is image tool free? And last question, is dvd decrypter free?

"So are you are making a backup of a Movie DVD ? What program did you use DVD shrink ? need more info"
-I got the files on my hard drive using dvd shrink. I tried burning one with the .vob file format, and one that had been converted to .avi using dr.divx 1.06.

"Anything in even viewer?"
-how do i check that? I have the error file that nero gave me, but i dont understand it

When I use dvd shrink it gives me .vob files, is there a setting to make it give me .iso files? and is dvd decrypter free?

Ps. Sorry for being a noob....lol

EDIT: I downloaded DVD decrypter, but im trying a dvd using dvd shrink right now. I'll let u know if it works though. Thakns alot for the help.....O wait I still need my .ISO question answered from above....

ok so i can copy a dvd no problem now. I just can't right files that are already on my computer to one. I tried using dvd decrypter, but none of my files are .iso. Is there a converter program for this?
