Burning a DVD

I am backing up a dvd i own cause it won't play in my current dvd player, but when i play it on my computer it works fine. Well i copied the DVD and i didn't have time to burn it and i have the files in a folder, i used DVD Shrink to rip the dvd and i'm trying to burn the video files now but i don't know how now that i have reopened DVD Shrink, I have nero but when i open it up it closes after it analizes it. What else can i use to burn it, or can i Burn it with DVD Shrink still?

To burn to DVD, DVD Shrink requires a third-party burning program like "Copy to DVD" or "DVD Copy". A lot of these programs have trial versions if you just need to make a quick backup with DVD Shrink.

There is an option in DVD Shrink when you hit "BACKUP" on a pull-down menu. On my computer for example, it says "BACKUP TO DVD USING COPY TO DVD". Obviously, you have to have a program like Copy to DVD or DVD Copy installed to see this option... I'm not sure DVD Shrink recognizes Nero or EasyCD as legit to use.

Nonetheless, I know lots of these programs like COPY TO DVD and DVD COPY have trial versions, so if you only need a quick backup, you can use them in conjunction with DVD SHRINK.

When it encodes it it goes to copy to dvd, and then a box comes up and says that its a reminder that i need to register, then at the bottom there is a website and buy key, it won't let me try it out, although it says there is 76 days left on it.... what in the world do i do?

Register what, Nero?

The trial is free, and DVD Shrink will automatically recognize you have Copy to DVD on your system (1click DVD installs "Copy to DVD" which works great with DVD Shrink).
