I had a power supply go bad a few months back and it melted itself into the atx connecter on my motherboard. I was able to pry out the atx connector, but it left some of itself behind. Is there any way to get those out of there and possibly have a decent extra motherboard laying around?
thanks,
-doug

PS. if I cant get it out of there is there anything I can do with it?

There is burn damage in the atx connector on the board, can I still RMA it?

maybe. You can probably get away with it if you convince them that it was not your fault for a shoddy install or a bad PSU. Tell them you had a 100% working system before with that PSU and when you installed it in this system the mobo broke your PSU :)

It is hard to say which killed what. I mean, it was a 300W Antec True Power and was only about a year old so it could have been the motherboard because i rarely hear of bad antec psu's.
