I bought some new blank CDs ( cheapie Digital Media, 24x certified ). Now after burning some CDs, my TDK 12/10/32 drive can't read them. They read fine in my Pioneer 104S drive. Also, the funny thing is, right after I burn them, the TDK drive can read them. I even ejected the disc, popped it back in, and was able to read them. But now, the next morning, the TDK drive can't read them again.

I can't think of anything that has changed in the system over the past week. I'm using WinXP Pro and Nero 5.5. I have left the "Finalize CD" box checked and unchecked.

Any ideas? I'm going nuts.

I mean come on, isn't it the other way around? The CD burner can always read the CDs it makes, but other drives cannot read them? HELP! :(

I'm using XP pro and Nero as well and am having a similar problem. The difference with me is that my burner won't read the discs at all... :( It will ackowledge that a disc is in there as far as the light changing color on the drive, but when I try to open the disc in Explorer, I get an "Incorrect Function" error message. The disc doesn't even spin up when the disc is put in the drive. If I put the disc in my DVD drive, it's fine. Very frustrating to say the least. Hopefully someone has some sort of info on what is happening, but it lamost seems like no one does...
