Burger King sued over impossible burger

Exterous

Given the popularity of fast food in ATOT I thought this was an unfortunate edition to the discussion. This seems like more of an impediment to further adoption which I would have thought vegans would be in favor of. Or a shameless money grab

Yes, one increased carbon footprint separate broiler impossible whopper please.

I feel like I'm missing something, aren't BK broilers like a mesh conveyor through the broiler? Pretty minimal (if any) contamination since drippings fall through and are burned off. It's not like it's a griddle.

Did Burger King claimed that they were vegan burgers or vegetarian? There is a difference. A self describe vegan should know this. 🙄 🙄 🙄

The lawyer should have the silly ass dude that he doesn't have a case, get lost.

well, technically, vegan or vegetarian doesn't matter in this case because the issue is using/contaminating with beef fat...so it would be the same foul.

But you can have it your way at BurgerKing. They used to advertize it. Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce. Special orders don't upset us :^D

Is it just me or are most Vegetarian and especially vegens are really obnoxious pricks who are well deserved to be told to go get fucking lost.

If Human are not suppose to eat meat, then why did Nature evolved Humans to omnivorous and meat so damn tasty 🙄 🙄 🙄?
I've got nothing against Vegetarians or Vegans. I do have something against veg/vegan items masquerading as meat products.

Never had one.

Do they use the same bun as a regular whopper? That's where a lot of the damage is done. That "bread" is pumped full of sugar and chemicals.

I remember looking at comparisons (I can't remember which ff joint). A bunless double bacon cheeseburger has like 5 g of carbs. With the bun it's like 40 or 50.

If you're eating at Burger King, how high could your standards really be in the first place?

Why do I feel that's going to end up a sort of "not The Onion" headline for BK's defense at some point.

This is not about the bun....

Burger King did not claim the Impossible Burger is vegan or vegetarian.
0% beef!!!
If it has beef fat on it it's not 0% anymore.

Smash the pickle, chuck the lettuce.

Shut up lady you upset us.

All we as is that you let us throw it away!

😀

And, the same spatula for serving regular burgers is used no doubt. Personally, I think those folks requesting food their way, get what they get. Either go to a vegan restaurant or, stay home.

yeah, pretty much. A lot of the vegetarians I know don't mind so much if you're cooking their pucks on the same grill space with the other meats, or if it touches. ...I guess this does separate the lot of them from all the vegans.

I always ask their preference when I'm responsible for the cooking...then tend to promptly forget/not care, haha.

Also, a vegan going to BurgerKing--this looks like someone targeting an issue for a lawsuit; and it's probably their jackass lawyer grooming the dumb vegan to be the litigant.

Every place here that serves these burgers (they are all the same patty from the same company) cooks them on same grill or flat top as meat based burgers.

This issue reminds one of a tempest in a teapot.

Also, you would be better off eating a plate full of veggies instead of a heavily processed, high sodium fake burger.

It's no longer the 80s, for this guy to win anything substantial he will have to prove some type of injury or loss. I don't see a court giving him more than a single dollar bill for the pain and suffering from popping his vegi-cherry due to second hand beef grease.

Meh. And zero calorie beverages aren't actually zero calories. I mean they could label stuff 0% rat droppings, but it would be the same degree of wrong. Its no different than the various warning you see about products produced in a factory that also processes nuts, etc. If you have a weird diet its on you to do some due diligence.
