Lunch decision:

Subway footlong and pop: $8.92 CAN
BK Junior Whopper meal: $3.44 CAN

I know its unhealthy and all, but the BK meal is just as filling and a 1/3 the price! Booyah, its even better than micky dees

Your comparing subway to BK?
A footlong is two meals to me. A value meal at BK is only one. And BK is extremely unhealthy.
Besides, Subway has some really good deals - for example here they have 2 footlongs for $6.99 on sundays. And since they have the new bread and new sauces I just love Subway.

And here we say pop ;)

Blimpie kicks Subway's ass all over the deli counter. How else do you explain that they cannot even cut the damn bread correctly at Subway? I ordered a sandwich, not a bread trough.

:)

Blimpie sucks here. The bread sucks (especially since Subway has like 6 different kinds now), the variety also sucks, and the service at the Blimpie here is just horrible. The people are always bitchy. I'd rather take Subway any day.

Not only is subway good and healthy, it is always nice to be able to see your food being
made. Piece of mind! ;)

Yeah, what Yamaha said...it's all COKE! :)

Blech...Burger King is terrible. I can microwave myself a hamburger at home, thank you very much. But those jalapeno poppers...now that's a different story...

imo, subway has taken a turn for the worse lately. i hate their new breads and sauces, and i normally end up spending more there than i expect to.

burger king -is- truly king of the burger places. they always have pretty good service, a clean restaurant (around here anyway), and they don't go into retard coma when you ask them to "hold the onion" or whatever.

of course, if any place is SUCK, it's hardees. suck suck suck.

I have to agree. Out of all the burger places here, Wendy's is by far the best, with McDonald's being the worst.

mmm...yes, Wendy's. My favorite, except for one local place: Bud's Broiler. It's cheap and fast, so it does count as fast food. They cook your burgers on a real charcoal grill(you can watch) and have this amazing homemade barbecue sauce that I swear has cocaine or some other addictive substance in it. Droooooooooooolll........mmm, I know where I'm going for lunch today! :)

Ahhh yes, BK is my $2(canadian) lunch place - we have free drinks at work (a cooler fridge of pop/juice etc) so I go get 2 Wopper Jr.s for .99c each. I don't like BK's fries, so the second whopper is better!

I've already hooked other people here on it :)

wendys burgers here are awful. the cheese is almost never melted (sometimes it's cold) and the lettuce is far from fresh. i asked them one time to melt the cheese on the burger i was ordering, and they refused. how's that for customer service?

i don't really care for their fatty fries either. frosties are always good, though.

The problem with Blimpies is that there are actually two competing franchising companies -- one in the New York area and one everywhere else. The larger of the two expanded rapidly with little concern for the quality of the franchising in its brood so the bad outfits damaged their reputation nationwide.

Simply put, the Blimpie Way is the right way. :D

As for burgers, Wendy's makes the best though sometimes they can be quite sloppily made. They are also the most poorly equipped for handling busy crowds. I always remember their tables with the old newspaper clippings under the plastic. Haven't seen that in years though.

YamahaGPR, I see you're from Dallas. Have you ever been to this burger place, I can't remember the name I think it starts with a "d", but they have this amazing barbecue sauce and they sell jars of it. I think it's by SMU, but I'm not sure...I haven't been there in 10 years. But, it's exactly like Bud's Broiler (the place I was talking about in my last post)...just curious. :)

You cannot really compare BK and Subway. BK sells greased-out, low quality food. Subway sells more healthy, fresh food (most of the time). I think Quizno's is better than Subway, at least here in Dallas. And I buy Wendy's burgers because they are cheap and they all taste about the same to me, which is greasy.

The prices for a 6" subway combo and a BK combo are about the same here, too.

Werk,

No, I have never been there... I have been to Chubby's in Lake Dallas and then the ever classic Hole in the Wall over by 635 and Harry Hines..... Both of those are probably about the same as what you are talking about..

Nope, I don't think either of those are the particular place I'm thinking of (is that the same Hole in the Wall as in Memphis?). One of my friends from SMU remembers the name of the place, I'll have to get it from him before I go to Dallas again. I'm going to buy about a gallon of their Barbecue sauce...its almost exactly the same as Bud's Broiler, but Bud's won't let you buy their sauce. Believe me, I've tried.
