I kind of like it. It's got a retro vibe to it.

lol i thought so as well, which made me kind of giggle that their intent was futuristic.

i rarely go to BK as it is, and the inside decor doesnt really make me decide to visit more or not. i think its a useless update, but mebbe it will spark interest in their sales.

the BK i would ditch and hang out at during HS had a scale model space shuttle right in the middle of the dining room, was very cool. i stopped taking my kids inside there when they remodeled it out. another had a train set that would circle the whole inside, kitchen and dining room included. it was one of those things that would attract crowds, then spend money on a snack to watch it for a while. when they took it out, they were closed in a year and converted to a filibertos.

Burger King pisses me off because here at U of Cincinnati they outbid Wendy's in the food court and don't offer any dollar menu items. It's expensive combo meals or nothing.

well, that's how most universities do it too. they can charge outrageous prices and have a limited menu because its inside a student union. everyone knows this...are u a liberal arts major?

I used to go to the BK everyday back in college since it was the only fast food near my classes. Loved the chicken sandwiches.

I like what McDonalds did, they went contemporary. This looks like the place in Toy Story where Woody and Buzz got captured at the gaming/pizza type place.

Welcome to Pizza Planet. 😉

Would have been better if they had hired an actor wearing the King outfit stalking customers at each store. I'd go there more than once a decade if this was the case...

either that or food that tastes good.

It does look pretty cool. All the BKs around here are ghetto 90s style.

How does it come to 300K-600k PER store though? Seems like it would be 100k tops.

To bad their food still sucks.

They have decent main items, like breakfast sandwiches and burgers but all this side items are terrible.

Their coffee sucks, their fries suck, their onion rings suck.

I just can't stomach going there but don't mind having a Whooper every once in a blue moon.

I looked at buying couple Burger King franchises earlier this decade but ran away when I saw the numbers. The only way I would have bought the stores would have been if they paid me to take them off their hands. When I looked, 1 out of every 3 Burger King franchisee was losing money.

Did you look into Subway? I can't imagine they cost a lot to operate and subs like those can't cost much to make but bring in a decent amount.

Is there still a place out there that could use a 16th Subway?

^ according to Subway's restaurant locator, I only see 1 or 2 per town here... that's not a lot!

I think their fries are actually pretty good and the Fry-Pod is ingenious. It's the only fry container that fits in my cup holder. Makes eating fries when I'm driving so much easier. Why no other fast food place has round fry containers is beyond me. Also I fricking love Cheesy-Tots. I could go for a 12pc order right now 😀
