Trump's imaginary fears aren't valid just because you've been brainwashed.
Lot’s of businesses are boarding up in anticipation for election day, or imploring workers who only recently started returning to the office to work from home, or at the very least leave early, out of safety concerns.

You think the odds that someone smashes downtown windows is on par with the odds that the Whitehouse is stormed?

Edit: I forgot who I was talking to, I'll prepare myself for some Starbucking.

There is really only one scenario where we have to worry about extensive property damage, and that is if Trump wins

LOL immediate Starbucking. I didn't say anything about either side winning or who's going to protest. I ask if it is was as likely the Whitehouse would be stormed as downtown windows smashed.

Is it already hard for you to keep up?

No, l’m keeping up just fine. The nation is bracing for widespread civil unrest, but there is only one scenario under which the White House would become a target. Businesses don’t board up because they’re afraid of a few smashed windows. Hurricanes, looting and rioting are typically what they prepare for.

I tend to agree, the Trumpists will direct a more personal direct maybe lethal damage to individuals.

I have no doubt we will unfortunately and tragically see a few incidents of right wing instigated violence today.

Most Trumpers will go to ground. I think the more likely scenario is that they will regroup and remain as a persistent annoyance to a Biden Presidency, and we may witness a political party realignment.

Alignment to fascist right is what I predict.
With a few good progressive moves like singlepayer, it will be hard even for the die hards to hate on democrats... hope

It is amazing that this is the first time we have ever had the White House with an unscalable fence. It’s like tRump thinks everyone hates him. Hmmm, he may actually have something there.

Kind of have the scene in Downfall when the great man is informed Steiner's relief attack isn't coming on my mind today.

I guess they are trying to contain him, so he can be apprehended before he makes a run for it. Still, I'd have thought it wouldn't be hard to build a fence that is "non-scalable" for Trump. Even a gently sloping ramp would probably be sufficient.

wrong, he can always roll down the ramp, so you have to make it an uphill one.

HOLDDDDD - ON HERE.
THIS could work out.....
Loser Donald Trump, locked up, and president Joe Biden as active president living in an entirely new updated Whitehouse. Maybe a new Whitehouse with indoor plumbing and wired ethernet. And the old Whitehouse containing, better yet restraining Donald Trump? How bout Alcatraz-East.

It's the Trumpist violence that worries me the most. Yeah, smashing windows and looting sucks, but we've already seen what happens when diehard Trump supporters get confrontational -- they threaten violence and sometimes follow through. It's all too easy to imagine some of them responding to Dear Leader Trump losing his 'throne' by deciding a few liberals need to die, since they can't realistically get at Biden himself.

Also, it's a pretty sad commentary on Trump that he's acting like a pre-Revolution French royal, so afraid of the people he feels he must seal himself away from them. Obama deal with plenty of people who thought he was evil incarnate; he didn't feel the urge to hide.
