Bulletproof vests less effective against knives.

The two men had shared a pint of whiskey, drank beer and smoked marijuana before the fatal demonstration, the affidavit said.

Hmm...I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Obviously he didn't fully understand exactly why a vest stops a bullet.

Bullet proof vests are very suspectible to knife thrusts, supposedly a major issue in England where knife attacks are more common.

Search Darwin awards website, almost identical incident occured in Russia few years ago. Goes to proove, morons are everywhere.

Anyone who doesn't know this should attempt to prove it to themselves. Idiots. If you're in a situation where you actually have/need ballistic protection, you should be smart enough to know what it does and doesn't protect you from.

What's next? Some dumbass in Mk. II decides to let his buddy shoot him in the chest with a 30-06?

Morons obviously didn't understand how a bulletprooff vest works. This is why they specifically make stap vets for prison guards.

"The suspect and victim were trying to demonstrate their belief that this type of protective vest could withstand a knife attack," Davis said. "Obviously that was incorrect."

ROFL 🙂 I don't agree with the article's title of "accident", intentional stupidity is more like it.

understand how it works? You don't need to. All they'd have had to do was st@b it...not st@b it while being worn! Idiots.
