But I guess when they signed up they took a risk of having an imbecile president who would press them into service for BS reasons. At the same time I feel sorry for them. They signed up to train to be called up in case of emergency, and got called up to serve in a totally elective and unnecessary war.

Gee ST I guess that is what they signed up for. Our soldiers now are supposed to politically interpret each command and see if a preponderance of the community agrees with the order. Sounds like typical liberal Kerry-speak.

"I will vote for the use of authorization of force, but if you use it in a fashion I disagree with, well, then I am against it!"

It's funny how pervasive, and how unoriginal the bush bashing has come.

That's what I said. They signed up, so they took the risk that they'll be sent to fight and die for whatever BS reason Bush can come up with. So now they gotta do it.

Well we'd like to change our tone about the prez, but there isn't much he seems to be doing that is of our liking; since I guess we voted for him and all. Granted this is not a direct democracy. I agree I want people to be praising a president, but his actions and rhetoric is: irresponsible and his national policies are much to do with controversay, it is not even fun discussing politics anymore.

Yeh well. Ya draw that paycheck forever, sooner or later ya might have to work for it. I doubt the reserves were intentionally designed as a welfare program.

Yeah, Bush sending a mother to Iraq is fair. Why doesn't he go himself and prove he is a real tough guy? Because he is a wussie? We all know he is not in charge in the White House; noone needs him in DC. Yo! Cheney! You hear me? Send the chimp!

lol! i cant believe youre acutally using the 'its not fair' argument! its not fair that im not as rich as bill gates. its not fair 9/11 happened. its not fair that israrel and palestine will continue to fight for all eternity! its not fair that a concept like poverty exists.
big deal, the whole point is that life is not fair and you cannot keep this naive ideological outlook forever. sooner or later you have to wake up and taste reality, and the sad fact of reality is that these mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters VOLUNTEERED for the reserves, and now theyre reaping the consequences of their decisions.

What is scandalous is that it is a cocaine addicted drunk AWOL rich chimp that sends single mothers to war and drug addicts to jail.

You want to talk about the bloody african dictators armed and financed by the CIA?
Or only about those supported by the french powers that be?
Or about the raw materials we get at cheap prices from this plundered continent?
Do you want to lower your standard of living by advocating democracy in Africa, and the boycott of the western multinationals that ransack it?

I see the blame everything on Bush committee is represented...

They signed up for it and knew that this could occur, but it didn't stop them from cashing a check. I was very close to enlisting in the reserves a few years back, but the wife would not let me. Had they called, it would have been my civic duty and responsibility to go.

How the hell would you know? You served your country? (dont give the BS line that you serve by doin community work or some crap) You sign the paper , you take the check, you shut up and do what your told.

Take my word for it, theres nothing in the oath when you are sworn in resembling "except when" .

When I was in boot my company was probably told 500 times that we were all gonna die if we saw combat. I doubt its changed a lot.

No need for rhetorical questioning, Froggie. Just answer my original inquiry. Tell us all about Chirac and Mugabe. However, if you prefer, you may also expand upon the numerous French shortcomings in Africa.

The mother should not be party of the reserves. It was her own choice. She made it, and now she has to live with it. The Reserves isnt just a free paycheck(even though thats what most reservests thought before now).

Thats pretty funny, you must be going back 20-30 years. We havent had CIA in Africa for the past decade, until the past year and a half. Its quite troubling that we didnt have CIA on the ground in Africa in the 90s, its one of the breeding grounds of terrorists. And to blame the US for Africa's problems is ludicris. It was French and British imperilism that fvcked that place over. Historically I blame the British for most problems the world is having today. Their empire fvcked over alot of people. And the decendents of those people are pretty pissed off with themselves and eachother(see middle east, africa, India and Pakistan).
