Bulldozer question

I been seeing some rumors that bulldozer will be compatible with AM3. How likely is that?
If so will it be for all 800(870 880, 890) chipsets?

It's been confirmed, can't find the link but first gen will be backwards compatible.

AM3 DDR3 is what is shown on the road map. That should be 8xx chipsets IIRC.

there are plenty of 7 series ddr3 mobos, and according to the roadmap those will also work with bulldozer. however, if buying new today with a plan to upgrade to BD in 12-18 mos then I think that 8 series is def the way to go.
