Okay, related to the shoulder thread...some background and questions.
I've been to 4 PT sessions now. I'm still pretty convinced that it's not going to do a thing. Who knows if that's because they don't know what they're doing or if I'm just more screwed up than PT can help. However, I'm pretty sick of telling them that my normal pain is a "1" while they seem to be incapable of understanding that 95% of the reason I'm there is because I have pain and weakness when lifting.
Anyways, the point. I've been cutting for several months now and I've been delaying bulking because of this issue. I've finally gotten fed up and I want to start the bulk now. Here's my history, for those who don't know.
January 13, 2010 - 6'2'', 210.8 lbs.
April 22, 2010 - 175.4 lbs. -2.503 lbs/week.
August 6, 2010 - 193.4 lbs. +1.189 lbs/week.
December 16, 2010 - 169.7 lbs. -1.259 lbs/week.
I'm very happy with my progress so far, but I am still not at my goals. I'd like to be muscular and toned, but not ripped. I'm also relatively unwilling to bulk for too long as I'm enjoying being able to see at least a little definition to my core. I probably wouldn't go past 190-195 again, although I think that's more than enough room? I may try to go a little slower this time, closer to 1.0 lbs/week.

But anyways, the questions concern the injury, obviously. I am somewhat limited in my ability to do lifts that involve my chest, triceps, and shoulders. I'm am somewhat concerned about what will happen with my chest/tris/shoulders if I bulk without lifting with them. I don't think it has made MUCH of a difference while cutting, my chest/tris/shoulder don't feel perceptively smaller/weaker (except for the injury weakness). I have been given permission to do those lifts at lower weights (2/3 of my capacity or so).
So, does it make any sense to do this if I can only go at 2/3 weight for the next however long? I had been doing 5x5, should I stick to that or push for higher reps since I'm lifting lower? High reps don't seem to agitate the injury any, as long as they're low weight. Or should I just ignore them and focus on biceps/back/core/legs (seems like a terrible idea to me...)? Or just wait to bulk altogether?
