SunnyD

Belgian Waffler
Where can I buy bulk fish, even alternator sized chunks, online and have them delivered? Yes, more than 5lbs. Bulk.

(No, this isn't a bad parody, this be serious)

live fish, dead fish, what kind of fish do you want?

~ EDIT ~

There are fish farms all over the nation, find one in your area. A local catfish restaurant buys their catfish fillets from fish farm in Arkansas

Not to you maybe...

If you are inland, there is no fresh fish, that is what I meant as not making a difference.

Unless you are willing to pay air shipping for fresh fish, like the one I linked to. Or willing to eat fresh water fish.

<--- from an Island, been out with fishing ship. Have relatives that are fishermen.

5lb is not bulk. That's like one small saltwater whole fish. Plenty of places like supermarkets and ethnic groceries carry fresh and frozen fish. If your inland, it's best to stick with frozen fish. I prefer Costco and Trader Joe's for frozen fish. Costco usually carries varies fish fillets in 3lb bag with each fillets individually vacuum sealed. TJ's sells smaller portions. We have couple 3lb bags of various fish from Costco in our freezer.

tangent: why do i see otherwise unmarked delivery trucks with 'FISH' written on them? i never see a meat delivery truck with 'MEAT' on it.

oh, this.

i'v spent ages trying to find decent bulk prices for fish and imo, they are simply not to be found on the internet - serious, to-factory or to-catering prices are simply not advertised to the public, as doing so would lead to a self-destructing spiral of lowering prices.

your best bet to find lower priced fish is to go to a supplier's fish market .. they are hard to find, and might not be open to the public though, depends on where you live. small fishing towns outside of metropolitan centres will also probably have people you can contact for good deal, though everywhere is getting harder to find independents, as most catches are owned by companies and they sell on contract.

A friend of mine works here. I get stuff from him occasionally, but I usually just go down to the docks and see what came in with the boats.
