This is my first post. I just wanted to thank all the posters in this forum. I was unsure if I wanted to try to build a computer myself. But after reading posts for a month or so, I felt confident enough to give it a try.

I did not have much trouble putting it together. I had a couple of questions, but they were easily answered by searching the forum or looking at Mechgon (sorry if the name's wrong) walkthrough.

About a week and no major problems. Thanks again.

Nice build. Congratulations. :)

Coincidentally, I have an A64-based system on the drawing board that I hope to get to one of these days. It will likely have very similar components to what you got. How do you like that Raptor? I already bought one for the build and it's sitting in its box just waiting for me to get everything put together.

Great guide, mechBgon! I've built systems before, but I know better than to trust myself to do everything correctly. Without a step-by-step plan in place, I nearly always forget something important. (Like the out-of-state paintball trip where I left my boots at home and only had my sandals with me - and one of them broke before even playing.) I'll be putting together my beast in the next week or so... glad I found this ahead of time. :)
