Built-in wi-fi card going bonkers...

ugh

Platinum Member
Hi folks,

Some genius in the office installed a D-Link DWL-650+ PCMCIA wi-fi card in a Centrino notebook. Installation was successful but once the card is unplugged, the internal PRO-set wi-fi card doesn't work. Whenever I try enabling a wireless profile from its control panel, it says says something like "Another LAN connection is using the wireless connection and it has disabled the profile management".

Anyone has any idea how to re-enable the built-in wi-fi card?

Thanks!

This is probably obvious, but have you tried uninstalling the DLink from the device manager? Or disabling it from the network properties?

🙂
