Building w/Fractal Design Define R3 -Question!

I've just started building my new PC with a Fractal Design Define R3 case. There is a 1" loop of cable that is attached to the external e-sata port hanging down basically blocking the 5.25" optical disk drive bay. I can't figure out if I'm missing something here, but I don't want to break anything trying to get the cable out of the way.

Anyone else with an R3 run into this?

Thanks!

I noticed the same issue when putzing around with my R3. I just took the front panel off (gotta squeeze together each one of the six plastic retainer things and push them forward) and kept the SATA cable taut and out of the way when re-attaching. The cable is right-angle, and glued in, which was a stupid decision in my opinion - with a straight plug it would have been out of the way.

Thanks.. I found a review on Newegg that mentioned the same issue, so I guess it's a 'feature' not a design flaw. 🙂 I wound up putting my DVD drive in the bottom bay, but good to know there's another solution if I just take off the front panel off.

I've got my new PC almost all the way together but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. 🙂

I went with the Silver Arrow also - very sharp looking! I liked the white one also, but since my components are all black and my desk is black/chrome, the silver seemed like a better match. 🙂
