OK, I will get 24GB of ram then.

3-4GB DIMMS in one, 3-4GB DIMMS in the other.

That card will give you 24 internal ports.


It looks like the case you've chosen has 24 SATA connectors on the backplane so you'll need six of these SFF-8087 to SATA cables:

That raid card is only 2GB 🙁 $20 more, I can get that one with 4GB! But it's only 4 SFF-8087 connectors. How big of a deal is 2GB vs 4GB in a raid card of this size anyway?

I have never used an Areca raid card, but i've heard GREAT things about them. Can you access the web management page online (when I put it in the data center)?

Can you check raid health status, or drive health status?
