Get Phenom II 920 from newegg for $135 instead. use coupon code:AMD32530. It's 2x faster than what you picked out

Updated the list, Thanks Azn!

I am also thinking of going with a Combo deal and changing the video card to the Sapphire 100265HDMI Radeon HD 4830. It is a lesser card than the 4870, but still a good performer. I dont understand the HDMI thing. Does this means it has an extra port for HDMI? I do not really need that,

Depending on the age and quality of the PSU, you might want to consider an upgrade. I would wager that a very good, relatively new 430W PSU would be ok with that setup, but that all depends on how many hard drives, and again, their age.

I would say a good quality 650W PSU should do the job fairly well and keep you happy for a while.

Also, I would assume that you were planning on using a 64bit OS (preferrably Vista 64 since i believe that XP64s driver support is rather lacking) due to the amount of RAM and VRAM you will have.

I do not see that GSkill memory on THIS LIST.

Animal the monitor is a newer Acer 22". I believe it is capable of 1600x1200.

KGBMan - The list is for a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P. I am getting a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P. I believe the difference is DDR3 and DDR2. I figured DDR2 is good enough for me. I there a seperate list for the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P?

Thanks for all the help!
