Hi everyone..., I want to build a Raid Array between 2 harddrives, but my question is.... Can I build a Raid array with to different brand harddrives (although same space and RPM's)???
Cause there would be minimal differences, and I just dont know if this will work...

Thx in advance :)

Yes you can. You can even use a combination of IDE and SCSI if thats your pleasure. You have alot of flexibility doing RAID.

OUUHH... OKAY..... but one thing... what about if one is ATA 100 and the other one is ATA133???

Its cause I asked for a pair of Maxtor 80gb Ata133 harddrives..., but then they said that they just had one in their stock, so I told them to send me 2 Western digital instead, but these were Ata100, yet the idiots just send me the only HD that they had in stock, and left me without the other HD I needed, and now they wont have again the model they gave me... Just Western digital Ata100, so Im kinda f*cked up cause of this situation :(

Software RAID doesn't tie their speeds together. You can run them on separate channels at full speed.
