first of all i bought the 4G4A+ board with P4 1.6A Northwood over 2 months ago. I also ordered Samsung PC2700 RAM and Antec SX635 case.
After waiting 2 weeks I was sent the old P4 1.6 chip so sent back. They then decided to send me the same wrong chip again. I finally told them the chip is no longer available so send me the P4 1.8A.
Finally after 6 weeks of ordering I see a Northwood chip.

So I install everything and there's no screen atall.
I know the RAM works as tried in my 8K7A PC. After taking board out of case to make sure it wasn't a short it still doesn't do anything. The fans are going quite happily but no screen and no Post Codes atall. After checking all jumpers and different RAM slots, even trying my Crucial RAM just in case I immediately thought it must be a defect board so send back.

Now they send the board back saying nothing wrong with it. So I try it out and still nothing. Fans are working but no screen. The only I can think of now is a faulty processor???

Any got any ideas please, I am getting very annoyed..

Thanks

I take it you tried your video card out in a different box too?
Try using only the essential to get a post...ie...cpu, ram, vid card.

thats what i been doing.
Had the board completely out of case on anti-static mat and the monitor plugged into the onboard video, RAM installed and CPU. Thats it. Still all i get is the fans going, so power is okay, but no video and Post Codes should light up on the Epox.

Is it possible its the CPU??
